- Morning session, sponsored by the Iowa Organic Association
- For crop farmers interested in native insect pest predators and habitat that supports them, this field day is a must-attend. Touring prairie and habitat areas on his farm, Paul will discuss the why and how of installing and managing prairie and habitat. Sarah Foltz Jordan and Lydia English will provide insight from their work at Paul’s farm and others. Throughout the day, attendees will learn to identify some insects, prairie forbs and grasses.

- Afternoon session, sponsored by the University of Northern Iowa
- Paul will share his approach to successfully raising crops and managing weeds in an organic production system. Keys to success include crop rotations, mechanical cultivation, and cover crops. This field day is appropriate for farmers considering a transition to organic production as well as beginning and experienced organic growers.
